Darren Parry, former Chairman of the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation, is a prominent advocate for Native American rights and history. Parry has dedicated his career to teaching and preserving indigenous perspectives. He serves on the Board of Directors for Utah Humanities and PBS Utah, leveraging his influence to advocate for Native American issues and cultural preservation.
He has written "The Bear River Massacre, A Shoshone History" and his newest title, "Tending the Sacred: How Indigenous Wisdom Will Save the World" is a reflection of the teachings passed down to the author and the deep relationships that humans hold with the land, water, plants, animals, and each other. It speaks to how Indigenous wisdom can transform not only the way we live on the Earth, but also how we approach education, business, psychology, and our everyday social interactions.
Be a part of this important conversation.
