Briefly describe your program.
The speaker is a relative of well-known Baha'i teacher William (Bill) Sears. He will share anecdotes from Sears' life, which include his time as a sports journalist and host of the children's program "In the Park," his arrival in Utah, his unusual pursuit of the woman who would become his wife, and his eventual embracing of the Baha'i Faith while regarding the Salt Lake Valley from a vantage point on Salt Lake's northern bench. Sear became a world traveler, taking the message of the Baha'i Faith all over the world, with a special emphasis on Africa. He wrote several books of humorous anecdotes from his travels. He covered his time as a sports writer in one of his books in a chapter called "Do you want it good or do you want it Tuesday?"
