Event Details

Actors from the Ziegfeld Theater in Ogden will be reading the novel Address Unknown by Kathrine Taylor.

This novel is written in the form of letters between two friends Max and Martin.  Both are Germans living in the United States and in 1932, Martin, moves back to a thriving Germany.  The other gentleman, Max, who is Jewish, remains in the U.S.  At first Max is envious of Martin's time in Germany and longs for his homeland. But over the course of the ensuing years, there is a marked shift in the letters and in their friendship as Martin begins to adopt Hitler's hateful rhetoric and acceptance of the Final Solution.

Approximate running time is 75 minutes.

Recommended for ages 15 years and older.
